holi festival

I was sitting at work today at the elementary school and realized that I miss reading little kid books! They are just so great and so funny and so random. A talking cookie? Yes. A boy who runs around in his underwear and yells? Of course. I love it.

So, as I was sitting there, I saw this beautiful cover and had to pick up the book to read it. It was about the Holi festival, a religious celebration in India. They also call it the festival of COLORS. Here's why...

People run around and throw this special colored powder on each other. Basically, it looks awesome! I love bright colors and parties. So this looks like a perfect opportunity to combine both!

It's now officially on my bucket list!
